Our powerful, compact, professional and popular Motorola CP040 4 watt UHF walkie-talkies are as powerful as any generally available walkie-talkie, and ideally suited for a variety of uses, including film and TV production, live events, etc.
The industry-standard Motorola CP040 UHF walkie-talkie has 4 watts transmission power – giving the best range available in a UHF walkie-talkie radio, and 4 channels.
It has enough power and range for most events – for a film set, sports stadium, conference centre, and outdoor events, and for use around large office buildings, shopping centres or leisure facilities.
UHF walkie-talkie radios have the best signal penetration inside buildings.
It is totally simple to use – just a rotary on/off/volume control and rotary channel selector.
It has 4 channels, and each channel has a CTCSS code preset to screen out interference from other radio users nearby.
Our Motorola analogue hire walkie-talkie radios are set to use some of the Ofcom-assigned “hire frequencies”.
The Motorola CP040 weighs only 375g, and measures 13cm (excluding antenna) x 6cm x 4cm.
Our usual “stubby” antenna is just over 7cms long.
It has a 2200mAh Lithium-Ion rechargeable battery pack.
Spare battery packs can be hired if required to keep your Motorola walkie-talkies in constant use, by simply swapping fully charged walkie-talkie batteries off the charger for “empty” battery packs.
The rechargeable battery pack is simply attacched and detached from the Motorola radio by means of a clip.
The Motorola CP040 walkie-talkie radio has a robust integral spring-loaded belt-clip, allowing the radio to be clipped to the user’s belt.
There is a standard Motorola two-pin jack socket to attach earpiece / microphones and headsets etc, which we also hire out.
We have both “over-ear” D-type earpiece/microphones and “in-ear” sem-covert styles of earpiece/mic to work with our Motorola walkie-talkie radios.
You can also hire leather cases with neck straps for a small extra cost.

These Motorola walkie-talkies radios can also communicate with our “base station” Kirisun radios, and use our Vertex repeaters to extend range.
